A new artist has come on the scene combining a
love of decorative art and landscape painting. Diane Gillies uses a wide
variety of techniques and mediums to decorate functional and
non-functional surfaces. The art format of decorative painting
continually incorporates new ideas and designs, along with existing
ones, to create new concepts. It is this ever-changing attribute of
decorative art that is a perfect vehicle for Diane's unique creations.
From her old shingle pictures to her jolly snowmen depicting rural
Canada, floral candles and elegant Victorian candlesticks, Diane has
developed a unique vehicle for her artistic talents.
Chickadee offers an opportunity to purchase
unique hand-painted items for those who love "few"-of-a-kind
hand-painted creations. Although many items will look alike, on close
scrutiny you will find each one is different in a unique aspect. Many
